Empowering the Future! Danfoss’s New Automated Production Line for Large Electronic Expansion Valves Inaugurated
On the morning of April 14th, the inauguration ceremony for Danfoss's new automated production line for large electronic expansion valves was held at the Danfoss Wuqing plant. This production line represents not only a significant milestone in Danfoss's localization strategy, but also a major breakthrough for Wuqing Development Zone in fostering new quality productive forces and driving industrial upgrading. Equipped with breakthrough precision flow control technology, it successfully fills the domestic market gap for high-precision valves with large cooling capacities, strongly supporting the core temperature control requirements of the national "East Data West Computing" initiative. Following its localized production launch, the line will substantially optimize supply chain response efficiency, reduce overall enterprise costs, and simultaneously empower energy efficiency improvements in refrigeration equipment—helping data centers achieve green and low-carbon development while injecting robust momentum into the high-quality growth of the digital economy.
During the ceremony, Helle Jorgensen, Global Supply Chain Vice President, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Danfoss Climate Solutions, delivered a speech. She stated that the inauguration of Danfoss’s new automated production line for large electronic expansion valves is an important step in optimizing Danfoss’s global supply chain layout and deepening its localization strategy. With its high-quality industrial supporting facilities, efficient services, and professional talent pool, the Wuqing campus has provided solid support for the construction of the production line. Looking ahead, Danfoss will rely on this line to further increase the production capacity and quality of high-end electronic expansion valves. Using the Wuqing base to serve the Asia-Pacific market and better support global customers, Danfoss will continue to increase investment in technology R&D and localized production, driving innovation in the refrigeration and electrification sectors.
Wang Jibin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Wuqing Development Zone Co., Ltd., extended warm congratulations on the launch of Danfoss's new production line. He noted that Wuqing Development Zone has ranked among the national "Dual Top 100" for industrial high-quality development for six consecutive years, and successfully obtained approval as a Pilot Free Trade Zone Linkage Innovation Area this past February. Centered on its "2+3+1" industrial system, the zone is vigorously building a high-end industrial cluster and a new highland of opening-up. As a benchmark enterprise in the zone's intelligent technology industry, Danfoss's new production line will further complete the low-carbon industrial refrigeration industry chain, drive the agglomeration and development of upstream and downstream enterprises, and activate new momentum for regional industrial growth. Wuqing Development Zone will consistently uphold the philosophy that "serving others is developing ourselves," providing the optimal business environment and most practical service measures to safeguard enterprise development, and working hand-in-hand with enterprises to write a new chapter of mutually beneficial growth.
Subsequently, Xiao Jing, Head of the Danfoss Climate Solutions Refrigeration and Air Conditioning China Wuqing Plant, provided a detailed briefing on the production line inauguration from the perspectives of construction background, core processes, equipment configuration, and capacity planning. She highlighted the significant improvements in automation level, product precision, and production efficiency achieved by the new line, stating that the plant will leverage it to continuously enhance product competitiveness and ensure efficient order delivery.
Dai Jian, Head of Danfoss Global Services China and Northeast Asia and General Manager of Danfoss (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., stated that it was precisely Wuqing Development Zone's philosophy of "serving others is developing ourselves" and its efficient, pragmatic approach that enabled this production line to move from groundbreaking last December to official production today in just a few short months—achieving the remarkable "Danfoss Speed." This line carries not only Danfoss's world-class technology, but also the company's long-term commitment to the Chinese market. Once operational, it will significantly shorten product delivery cycles while simultaneously increasing the proportion of locally sourced raw materials, delivering more competitive cost performance to customers. Looking ahead, Danfoss Tianjin will continue to take root in China and deepen its presence in Wuqing, further strengthening cooperation with Wuqing Development Zone in intelligent manufacturing and green, low-carbon development, jointly contributing to the high-quality advancement of the high-end intelligent manufacturing industry.
At the ceremony, Tommaso Magro, Global Product Director for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Electronic Solutions at Danfoss Climate Solutions, unveiled the new ETS Large series product. Attending leaders jointly took the stage to cut the ribbon for the inauguration of Danfoss's new automated production line for large electronic expansion valves, collectively witnessing this pivotal moment driving industrial upgrading and empowering green development.
