Delivered Today! Emerson's New Factory Phase II Completed in Wuqing
On January 30th, the "Emerson Inaugurates New Journey, Building Dreams for the Future" delivery ceremony for Phase II of Emerson's new factory in Wuqing was held at the Wuqing Development Area.
Founded in 1890 and headquartered in Missouri, USA, Emerson is a US Fortune 500 company. Emerson is a world leader in helping industries such as chemicals, oil and gas, power, water, mining, and life sciences achieve automation in production, process control, and transmission and distribution, with its products holding a 25% share of the global market. In 2003, Emerson Group established Emerson Process Management (Tianjin) Valve Co., Ltd. in the Wuqing Development Area, primarily engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of new valve control systems and related components. In 2025, its industrial output value reached approximately 1.9 billion yuan, with annual tax payments of about 170 million yuan, making it a benchmark enterprise for regional industrial development. In 2024, the two parties signed another "Investment Agreement" to jointly build the Emerson Tianjin Production and R&D Base, to be implemented in two phases.
At the delivery ceremony, Wang Jibin, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Wuqing Development Area Co., Ltd., stated, "From Emerson Group's settlement and establishment here in 2003 to its current capacity expansion, both sides have always shared weal and woe and worked in the same direction. The continuous upgrading of Emerson's new factory in Wuqing is highly compatible with the park's industrial positioning, which will effectively drive the clustered development of upstream and downstream industrial chains and help the region's industrial level reach a new stage. The delivery of this new factory Phase II is an important milestone in our in-depth collaboration and win-win development. The Wuqing Development Area will always uphold the principles of 'serving others is developing oneself' and 'serving existing enterprises well is the best form of investment attraction,' guaranteed by the 'first-contact responsibility system' and 'completion within a limited time' system. We will establish professional service teams, provide full-process 'one-stop' precise services, continuously optimize a market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized business environment, and fully support Emerson Group in expanding production capacity, unleashing potential, and innovating and developing in Wuqing."
Chen Junlai, Vice President of Operations for Emerson's Asia Pacific region, stated, "Having deeply cultivated roots in Wuqing for over twenty years, the Group has deeply felt the excellent business environment and efficient service guarantees of the Wuqing Development Area. Leveraging the Group's global strategic layout and the steady growth trend of its Asia Pacific business, the Group is firmly increasing its investment layout in Wuqing, joining hands with the Wuqing Development Area to build a new Emerson factory in Wuqing covering a total area of approximately 62,000 square meters. In the future, the Group will invest approximately $25 million in high-end production equipment procurement and technological upgrades to ensure the Phase II plant is put into operation on schedule and with high quality. This is not only an important measure for the Group to deeply cultivate the Chinese market and establish deep roots in Wuqing, but also a firm commitment to join hands with the Wuqing Development Area to seek common development. With the official signing of the handover documents, Emerson's new factory Phase II in Wuqing was successfully delivered.
