Recently, the Tianjin Zhongying Haihe Youda Fuyou No.1 Science and Technology Investment Equity Fund, initiated by Wuqing Development Area, successfully completed the signing of the investment agreement with Shanghai Westwell Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Westwell Technology") and the settlement of the funds. This marked the launch of the "first shot" of Tianjin AIC Fund investment.
The Tianjin Zhongying Haihe Youda Fuyou No.1 Science and Technology Investment Equity Fund was jointly initiated by the Bank of China Tianjin Branch, BOC Asset Management, Haihe Industrial Fund, and Wuqing Development Area Youda Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd. The initial scale is 500 million yuan, focusing on strategic emerging industries and future industries, aiming to assist the development of the advantageous industrial clusters in the park and promoting the integrated development of "technology - finance - industry" in Wuqing District.
The Westwell Technology, which received this investment, is a high-tech enterprise centered on advanced-level autonomous driving technology. It has been dedicated to providing full-process digitalization and green solutions for global logistics hubs for a long time. Besides professional high-level autonomous driving vehicles and supporting hardware for port operations such as unmanned container trucks, flatbed trucks, and cross-scenario high-level autonomous heavy-load mobile platforms, the company can also offer technical services covering all aspects of port logistics, including container identification, gate vehicle identification, automatic tallying, automated crane rails, and the automation transformation of gantry cranes and quayside cranes. Since its establishment in 2015, Westwell Technology's business has spread across 28 countries and regions worldwide, and it ranks at the forefront of the industry in the implementation and large-scale commercialization of high-level autonomous driving scenarios.
Subsequently, Westwellg Technology will establish a sales and operation center in Wuqing Development Area to comprehensively promote the regional business layout and accelerate the market penetration of related products and services. "In the future, as the business expands and deepens, the company also plans to gradually implement more physical business segments, further extend the industrial chain, and enhance the regional industrial agglomeration effect," said the person in charge of Westwellg Technology.
