Great News! Wuqing Development Area Awarded the Title of National Civilized Unit
Recently, the list of the Seventh Batch of National Civilized Units was announced, and Tianjin Wuqing Economic-Technological Development Area Co., Ltd. (headquarters) made it onto the list.
Established on December 28, 1991, Wuqing Development Area is a national-level economic and technological development zone, a national-level high-tech industrial park, and the core area of the Tianjin National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, with a built-up area of 40 square kilometers. Since its establishment, the zone has attracted a total investment of 169.906 billion yuan (including 6.413 billion US dollars of foreign investment) and brought in over 4,000 enterprises from more than 50 countries and regions. It has formed three leading industries: intelligent technology, biomedicine, and modern services. The zone has been listed on the "National Biomedicine Industrial Parks" and the "Top 100 National Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Parks" for five consecutive years. It is also Tianjin's first municipal-level ecological park and a national-level green industrial park.
