Filling the Domestic Gap! BMC Wins Tianjin Science and Technology Award!
Recently, the project "Key Technology Research and Clinical Application of Non-invasive Respiratory Systems," led by Tianjin BMC Medical Co., Ltd. Tianjin BMC was established in the Wuqing Development Area of the Beijing-Tianjin Industrial New City in 2014, covering an area of about 20,000 square meters. Codes and data flash on computer screens as engineers fine-tune intelligent devices that can "interpret breathing." On the experimental tables, various prototypes are displayed, each having gone through dozens of iterations, carrying with them countless failures and breakthroughs."
At present, chronic respiratory diseases, represented by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, have become common diseases that endanger the health of residents worldwide. There are technical barriers in domestic non-invasive respiratory treatment, and even risks of being 'strangled,' making it difficult to widely apply in grassroots hospitals and households. In response to this real issue, as an important participant in domestic respiratory chronic disease management, we began planning to innovate key components and core technologies more than ten years ago," said Zhuang Zhi, Chairman and General Manager of BMC Medical Co., Ltd.
Targeting the "medical turbine fan," a key component of non-invasive respiratory treatment devices, Tianjin BMC has invented a fan drive technology with independent intellectual property rights. This technology breaks the international monopoly, fills the domestic gap, and achieves the import substitution of non-invasive respiratory treatment devices.
On the map of coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Tianjin BMC is rising like a shining new star in the field of medical technology in Wuqing. The company is deeply rooted in Wuqing, with its "R&D + production + sales" integrated hard-core strength, creating a highland of respiratory health industry that radiates across the country and connects the world.
Currently, the results of the "Key Technology Research and Clinical Application of Non-invasive Respiratory Systems" project have been applied to products exported to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. It has built the largest high-quality respiratory chronic disease database in China, with the existing system covering more than 450 hospitals and serving over 300,000 users. It covers scenarios such as top-tier hospitals, grassroots hospitals, health care institutions, medical device stores, and community families in Wuqing District, meeting the respiratory health needs of different end-users.In Wuqing, Tianjin BMC has the largest ventilator production line in the country.
Through independent innovation, it has strongly attracted the entire smart medical industry chain.
"The company has qualifications such as 'CTF Laboratory' and 'QTL Laboratory.' Local enterprises in Wuqing can use laboratory equipment to conduct product quality testing, effectively shortening the product testing cycle. This ensures the quality, safety, and effectiveness of medical devices while further improving product certification efficiency and accelerating the entry of products into target markets," said Zhuang Zhi.
